| Luddy, Shirley J., LUDDY, SHIRLEY J. 74 - of Somers Point, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, July 27, 2010 in Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point. Born in Mt. Holly, she had lived in Ocean City before moving to Somers Point 34 years ago. Mrs. Luddy was devoted to her family and her Christian faith. She was voted Miss Somers Point 1951. Mrs. Luddy had worked as a Unit Clerk for Shore Memorial Hospital for almost 40 years before her retirement. She was predeceased by her husband James Luddy, Jr. in April 2006. Surviving are her five loving and devoted children: Dartt F. Luddy of Somers Point, Michael J. Luddy of Princeton, Brenda J. Ball of Egg Harbor Township, Timothy Luddy of Philadelphia, Pa and Donna K. Luddy of Galloway. Also surviving are two sisters: Patricia Powell of Somers Point and Gwen Gardner of Pemberton, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A Service of Memory and Love will be offered Friday morning at 11 o'clock from The Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, Palermo, NJ where friends may call from 10 o'clock until time of service. Burial will be private and at her families convenience.
