| Allen, Ruth K., Allen, Ruth K. 81, (nee Kenaga) of Ocean City, NJ passed away on Monday, June 14, 2010 at her home. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was formerly of Pottstown, PA and a resident of Ocean City, NJ since 1957. Mrs. Allen was a graduate of Pottstown High School class of 1946. She worked as an Office Manager for Schuylkill Valley Oil Company in Pottstown, PA for 10 years before moving to Ocean City, then worked as an Assistant Cashier for First Fidelity Bank in Ocean City, NJ for 32 years retiring in 1989. Mrs. Allen was the Organist for 10 years at Brownbacks Evangelical Church outside of Pottstown, PA. She filled in as an organist at Ocean City Baptist Church, Seaville meeting camps and Great Commission Baptist Church in Goshen, and was the organist in the summers for Central Ocean City Union Chapel Church at 32nd Street in Ocean City, where she also served as Honorary Trustee. She was a member of Ocean City Baptist Church, a member and past president of YTC (Youth Temprance Council) which is affiliated with Women’s Christian Temprance Union. Surviving are her husband, Frank D. Allen of Ocean City, NJ, three cousins, Edie Scaramuzzino of Edgewater, FL, Jeanette Mounce of Westmont, NJ, and Bettie Popiel of Thornton, PA. Her Funeral Service will be offered Saturday morning at 11 o’clock from Ocean City Baptist Church, 10th Street at Wesley Avenue, Ocean City, NJ where friends may call from ten o’clock until the time of service. Burial will follow in Seaside Cemetery, Palermo, NJ.
